30/11/25 - Progress Update
Progress Update:
We've been working hard trying to get the many mechanical aspects of the game implemented and working. Menus, Battles and anything else that requires us to bend RPG Maker into a shape its unfamiliar with.
I'll include some before and after screenshots below to demonstrate the progress we've made.
Status Screen
Status Screen has been cleaned up and has new art. It still needs some additional work but has come a long way.

Battle Screen
A lot of progress has been made on the battle system. Its not as easy recreating PS Style battles in RPG Maker as I thought it would be...but were getting there. There is still a lot of work left to do.
We now have an Animated Front View Battle System. Enemies are animated and so are the Actors.
PSIII Style Weapon Targeting with enemies split into 'Groups' and 'Rows'(Back and Front) for different weapon attacks and skills.

Shop Screen
Heres a look at how we will handle the shop screens in the game. The intention is to invoke the POV Shop screens of the older games in the series. I hope the Innkeeper will feel familiar to fans of the original.

Bonus Screens:
Nothing too exciting but as its been such a long time since updating. All of the maps you see in these are still a work in progress and subject to change. (As i post these - i see an unintential difference in the color of the grass which will be changing for instance.)
