Dahlia Project - PSIIIR
A downloadable game
The original Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom was a uniquely different entry in the classic sci-fi RPG series when compared to its counterparts.
Its story was a cross-generational epic in an expansive world filled with large cast of characters. However, its presentation and gameplay set it apart from the rest of the games in the Phantasy Star series, earning it a reputation as a black sheep.
The Dahlia Project is a full-scale remake of Phantasy Star III, reimagining the game with modern refinements while staying true to its original vision. The goal is to enhance the storytelling and character interactions, refine the gameplay and provide a complete graphical overhaul to provide an aesthetic that is closer the other games in the series.
This is not a reinvention—it’s a true remake, designed to ensure Phantasy Star III stands proudly in its place amongst the other games in the series.
What’s to Expect from the Dahlia Project?
- Expanded Story & Lore with Revamped Dialogue and character interactions.
- Phantasy Star 4 Style Cut Scenes.
- Enhanced Gameplay & Mechanics in line with other entries in the series.
- Authentic Retro Visual & Audio Aesthetic in line with other entries in the series.

This is great.. I think i may have been the only fan of ps3 back in the 90's . Can't wait to try this
Thank you! PS3 has a bad reputation but we feel that there is potential to deliver something special for the fans and newcomers alike.
Oh man I can't wait! Gives me some motivation to march ahead with the very early project I started. Something currently codenamed Restoration's End :-)
Thank you for the kind words :) We hope to have more to show soon.
