Updated V2.1
Made the below changes:
- Overhauled the magic system.
- Party members who can cast techniques now start with 30 technique points which they can distribute between their techniques.
- Technique damage/effects should scale with the level of the technique.
- Technique damage output is likely different than previous versions.
- Technique shops will now actually allow players to reallocate their party members' technique points for 10 gold.
- On the Technique Distribution screen: When adding or removing a skill point use the left and right arrows but when you need to switch to the skills window and back to the stats window hold shift and use the left and right arrows on the keyboard.
- Mouse controls also work for this screen.
- Overhauled how dual wielding works.
- I did not like that characters who were dual wielding had to hit the same target with both attacks, even if the first hit was enough to kill it.
- Now a character will be considered "Dual-Wielding" when said character is wielding a Knife, Needler, Stave, Claw, or Slicer and no Shield or Emel.
- Shields and Emels Negate the "Dual-Wield" effect.
- A character only needs to equip one copy of the above specified weapon type to be considered "Dual-Wielding".
- It is no longer possible to equip two weapons at a time.
- A character only needs to equip one copy of the above specified weapon type to be considered "Dual-Wielding".
- Shields and Emels Negate the "Dual-Wield" effect.
- Now, while a character is "Dual-Wielding" and uses his default attack skill, he will have a second action which can select a new target.
- The initial action can be used to Attack, Guard, use a Technique, or use an Item.
- The "Dual-Wielding" character will only receive a secondary action if he used his initial action to attack with his equipped weapon (Techniques do not grant a secondary action).
- Removed "Escape" from the Command Menu in battles.
- The Technique Rimit must now be used to escape from battles.
- Changed Battle System from the default Turn-Based system to the Vizustella Standard Turn-Based System.
- As a result, attacks will now happen as soon as you select them, and not after all characters' attacks have been selected.
- The turn order is now displayed on the left-hand side of the battle screen.
